Bob Graham Helps Launch Florida Conservation Coalition

Former Governor, Bob Graham, was the keynote speaker at the December 1st rally held by the Florida Conservation Coalition, a bipartisan group of activists and environmentalists concerned about the state’s reduced oversight on development that has erased years of environmental policy. The group is particularly concerned about the budget cuts for the state’s five water management districts that will severely limit their ability to protect our water supply. Graham remarked that the money saved for the tax payers from the water management budget cuts amount to the cost of buying two pizzas every year. Other speakers at the rally were State Senator Paula Dockery from Lakeland who said a strong water policy is critical for the state’s future and environmentalist Nathaniel Reed who vowed to speak across the state to make the public aware that our environmental laws have been undermined.
