For our many readers interested in Florida’s natural habitat, we want to call your attention to a special one-day event, Celebrating Florida’s Wild Wonders presented by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ringling College on March 11th.
The program is based on the University of Florida Press book, The Wilder Heart of Florida” edited by Jack E. Davis and Leslie K. Poole. The day’s program will include exhibits, panel discussions, inspiring films and book signings with the contributors to the book.
The event will be held at the Ringling College’s Sarasota Art Museum (SAM) in the restored Sarasota High School. A lunch and a reception are included in the one hundred-twenty-five-dollar registration fee. You can make a reservation to attend the event here.
