Mark your calendars for Cracker Fest 2014!
This one-of-a-kind event returns to The Bait Box on
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2014.
START’s Sanibel Captiva Chapter is busily preparing for our sixth annual gathering. We are planning a grand evening of dining in the company of friends and family, instructed line dancing lessons, as well as dancing to the live music of Uproot Hootenanny. Live and silent auctions will be featured and a “50/50 raffle drawing” will add to the evening’s enjoyment. Additional highlights to be announced.
The congenial atmosphere of Cracker Fest celebrates Florida’s cultural heritage while also raising awareness and financial support for the Sanibel-Captiva chapter of START. The proceeds of this fundraiser will support START’s mission in pursuit of educational and scientific findings in marine habitat / species conservation and restoration, as well as the promotion of healthy beaches and waterways. Included in this year’s festivities will be an authentic Cracker Feast of slow smoked pulled pork, Ralph Woodring’s fried mullet, shrimp, grits, all the trimmings, as well as dessert, beer, and wine.
Cracker Fest 2014 will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14 at The Bait Box property on Sanibel. Tickets are $100 per person, which will include admittance to the event, dinner, beer and wine, live music, line dancing, a live and silent auction and a “50/50 raffle”. Admission to SanCap Cracker Fest is by reservation only and limited to the first 300 attendees.
