The red tide organism, Karenia brevis, was observed in Southwest Florida over the past week.
In Southwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was observed at background concentrations offshore of Hillsborough County, background concentrations in Manatee County, background to low concentrations in and/or offshore of Sarasota County, background concentrations offshore of Lee County, and background concentrations offshore of Collier County.
In Northwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was not observed.
Along the Florida East Coast over the past week, K. brevis was not observed.
No fish kills suspected to be related to red tide were reported this week No reports of respiratory irritation suspected to be related to red tide were reported this week.
