Red Tide Status – Florida Southwest Coast
Present Status: Karenia brevis, the Florida red tide organism, was detected in background concentrations in one sample collected alongshore of Sarasota County. Other samples analyzed this week from southwest Florida did not contain K. brevis.
Red Tide Status – Florida East Coast
Present Status: Karenia brevis, the Florida red tide organism, was not detected in water samples collected this week in the Indian River Lagoon system (Brevard County) or inshore of Dade County.
No samples were analyzed this week from Nassau, Duval, St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia, Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie, Palm Beach, or Borward counties.
